A Personal Blog Experiment

This is, at its root, a project for myself. It would be nice if it gets read and engaged with, but if not, that’s also okay. It is also an exercise in writing, because writing something other than emails and reports is nice. The output here will evolve over time, but at least for now, here’s what I think will turn up:

As a start, I hope preserve memories before they fade further. Pushing 40, they are slowly smudging. Already there are blurry faces, misremembered details, and embellishments to varying effects. Without the talent to capture these memories in more curvy or colourful mediums, text would have to do. Pictures will mostly be decorative, though I hope they beautify appropriately.

Pity, but we can indulge too much in nostalgia. There will also be bits of reflection on more current affairs, and maybe some on Current Affairs too.

There will also be “learning in public” (it’s a movement of sorts, see more here, here and here). There are a multiple reasons for this. Chief among them is self-education, and leaving a trail of that learning for future purposes. If it also invites people to engage on the topic(s) and speed the learning along/diversify my thinking/make sense of things, then so much the better. That is apparently how it’s meant to work. Maybe it will. The topics will range over time. These will be learning exhaust, and there is every chance that quality will be low. What I am trying for goes by other names also: digital garden, working notes.

So many words to say that this will be an ongoing work in progress. Thank you for reading, feel free to leave a comment!
